Recently, I went to an optician with intention to make a pair of contact lens. I checked out this small optical shop at Jurong East market because we were impressed by the credentials of the optician. He is actually a lecturer in one of the polytechnics.
I asked the assistant ( his wife I presume) how much do they charged for disposable lens and when the optician saw that I was carrying bb, he actually asked me whether I'm still breastfeeding. I told him yes I am and he advised that I shuold wait till I stop breastfeeding and wait for 3 months before I make any specs or contact lens as the hormonal changes do affect the eye sight.
Hmm... that's something new. I guess if I would have just visit any other optical shop, the sales person would just grab the business.

Wow, that's new... didn't know that too! So does BFDG make our eyes better or worse?
wow! that's new to me too!.. thanks for sharing this.. =)
Next time you see ya opt, ask him/her if she's read any research on the impact of breastfeeding on Mothers' eyesight.
As far as I know there shouldn't be any. If there's any change in Mummy's eyesight, it should be caused by Pregnancy rather than breastfeeding.

You also have to ask yaself how long you are going to bf. if you bf for more than a year, are you not going to make any glasses or contact lens?
