We will be heading to Perth in May for 9 days. For those who knows me, I love to travel and many of my colleagues and friends would often comment that Australia has been a pilgrimage for me.
It's both true and false. I fell in love with Australia when I 1st went there in 1996, just before I entered university. It was my 1st F & E trip, together with my brother, we tagged along with my aunt and uncle for this trip. The ability to drive your own car and experiencing winter was wonderful.
I am a polar bear by the way... :P
For this trip, I am excited yet apprehensive about it, as this is the 1st time, I am so called "leading" a big group, with 8 adults and 4 toddlers, driving 2 MPVs for this trip... The weather will be nice and cooling, yet questions like:
"will it be too cold for Trevor and the other kids?"
"Will we be able to reach our planned destination on time, as we have pre-booked all our accommodations?"
"Will the other car driver able to take long distance driving?"
"Will there be an element of newness for Mi Mi, as this will be her 2nd trip to Perth?"
Many questions flood my mind, and I know that I can only plan that much and prepare that much. One thing that I have not done, but will start doing from today, is to commit this trip to the Lord. That's how this trip came about in the 1st place. This is supposed to be a faith trip for a group of good friends to travel together and enjoy each other's company.
