Just celebrated Mi Mi’s birthday on 1 Dec, though her birthday was on 2 Dec, coz my company staff dinner was on 2nd Dec, so we decided not to have buffet for both lunch and dinner…
We had breakfast at Old Airport Road, Kaya Roti (nice and comparable to Ya Kun) and coffee after being stuck in the traffic for at least 40 mins, after dropping off Trevor at Infant Care.
Headed straight to Hort Park after that. Nice place to walk around and look at the different landscaping done up there. Took some macro shots of flowers there. Thank God for the cool breeze, though the sun was scorching hot.

Lunch… We went to Penang Place (http://www.penangplace.com.sg/) with my mom to celebrate Mi Mi’s birthday… This place is strongly recommended by Josh. The place was also full house though it was a Monday lunch. The food overall was quite nice, especially the chicken wing in satay sauce… *yumyum* and also the penang laksa and penang char kway teow… They offered 2 different self made desserts, chendol and ice kachang… of course, we added lots of attap seeds…
Afternoon, we headed to VivoCity as Mi Mi would like to shop for some clothes for CNY. Not too early already, as CNY is in end Jan. Saw Doulos (http://www.mvdoulos.com/) docking there, but we couldn’t get onboard, as it would only be open on 2 Dec. Mi Mi hasn’t been onboard before.
Evening: We bought a piece of Walnut Carrot Cake from Cedele and I celebrated Mi Mi’s birthday at East Coast Park… Very nice breeze and wonderful weather, with children building sandcastles with their parents on the beach.
We had a time of reflection and reflected on how good God has been to us in 2008. Indeed God has been good…
