Humbled by His Grace

For the past few days, I have been pondering on this thought. God never fails to amaze us through His miraculous provision. Recently, He did just that!

We booked our Nissan Latio in feb right after the dip in car price following a drastic dip in COE price. We thought that it was an appropriate time and price is within our budget. But never did we thought that we have to wait for more than 3 months before we get our car. We went on a non-guaranteed bid package meaning TC will put up 6 bids for us. The COE price escalated since Feb due to LTA's cut in the supply of COE as well as the overwhelming demand for new car in anticipation of the GST hike in July. We missed 5 rounds of bidding and coming to the last bid, we were given an option to do cash top-up which we did after much advice from our friends. We paid at additional $1.5K instead of $2.5K as suggested by TC. On the day of bidding itself, we were pleasantly surprised that TC push up our bid to $18,500 in the last 5 mins when the bid hit $17K and lo and behold the deal is sealed!

In order to gather the $1.5K, MooMoo has to sell his shares and thankfully over the past few weeks, the shares that he bought appreciated in value. That's not the end... over the past weekend, a church friend gave Trevor an ang bao. When we opened the ang bao, we were totally in awe! It is a 4-figure sum from someone we are not even closed with. WOW! The word that come to my mind at that moment is "God! You really humbled us by your Grace!"

Trevor's EDD is only 36 days from now. The excitement and anticipation is building up by the day and I can't wait for the day to see Trevor face to face...cuddling him in my arms, touching his little hands and feet and telling him how much I love him. He is a gift from God... a miracble of God's creation... a life which will become intertwined with ours to form a beautiful tapestry of what we call family!

As what many people say, no one can ever be totally "prepared" for the baby's arrival... although we tried to buy every possible items we think he will need, do up his room, engaged a confinement helper etc but still every day, I'm thinking what else to get to prepare for THE day. I guess that is an anxiety stage for all would-be mothers feel especially when the EDD draws near.

Trevor, mum n dad are looking forward to welcome your arrival to our family! :) Till then, we pray that God will continue to watch over your development in every aspect.
