For all our concerned friends, our baby is doing well. :)
Dr Lim said movements are good and true enough baby Trevor is eager to tell me he's doing well! I have been feeling more of his movements than ever before. It's an amazing feeling to feel the sudden kicks and the "wave-like" movements... I guess one day I will miss the "closeness" that we once shared. Well, I could never remember how's life inside my mother's womb. Guess, it's this special kind of bond that makes the mother-child relationship special.
Other than the movements in my tummy, there's also the movements that are going on in my organisation. There is a major change in my department and the responsibilities of my department will be split into two segments - generic Student Care and corporate Student Care. Even my title will be changed. Let me see... I was employed as a "Programme Executive" before the title changed to "Students Relations Executive" to "Student Care Advisor" and here I am... back to "Programme Executive". Well, the good thing about the change is that I am offered with options on my career development. I can choose to stay with my current boss and manage corproate executive education programme OR to join a newly promoted guy who is heading the new Student Care team who will also take charge of the Section Management role.
At the moment, I will be doing the same thing and for the next few months impart my skills and knowledge to the newbies who will be coming onboard. The actual switch will probably take place after I come back from my maternity leave. At the moment, I still haven't decide which department to join... one offering me opportunities for greater depth in what I already know and a possible promotion opportunity while another will allow me to broaden my project management skills.
Talking about "movements"... MooMoo and I are feeling the itch to take a plane, stamp our passport and breathe some cool fresh air from one of our favourite destinations... Australia. We have been tossing through the idea of travelling... whether it's safe, whether my work schedule permits (now that my dept is badly short-handed), whether finances allow, the type of activities we want to do over there etc.
Finally, we settled with PERTH, somewhere we have never been before and my dear hubby can boast to be the "Aussieknow kid" after visiting Perth. There's a promotion in SQ for their night flight and return tickets are selling at S$298 which we thought is quite reasonable. Yes, finances will be a bit tight but we believe we should be able to pull through.
Hoping that my tummy will not be too big by then as I really hope to enjoy a relaxing trip before baby comes along. As most parents will agree... Life will never be the same again when the kiddos come... they become the kings and queens of the family... controlling your sleep time, eating time and even leisure time for that matter.
Nevertheless, we are really looking forward to our beloved Prince... to give him a warm and loving home that he can call his own!
That's all for the update today... will drop by after we come back from Perth! :)
