For once, I felt privileged being pregnant and having to take MRT from Jurong East to Tanjong Pagar. We boarded the train at about 8am and within a few seconds, a young man stood up to offer seat to me... not only him but another young lady who was taking the specially desginated seat for special-needs people also stood up to give me the seat. I took the lady's seat instead because I think she is preparing to drop at the next station.
WOW!! It has been some time since I feel proud being a Singaporean... the last time was yesterday when I read the news and know that Singapore won 5-4 against Malaysia in the football league. :)
Hope to see more civic-minded Singaporeans who will be kinder and more thoughtful to the people around them. I always wonder how it would be like when I've put on >10kg and having to stand all the way from JE to TP... hmm... hope I'll meet kind people more often.
